Job Description / Essential Elements:
The San Marcos Unified School District is seeking a qualified Speech Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work with preschool through twelfth-grade students who require remediation for communicative disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Remediate communicative disorders in students from preschool through twelfth grade
- Survey school populations to identify students with speech, hearing, or language disabilities
- Diagnose communicative handicaps and develop individualized therapeutic procedures to correct or minimize disabilities
- Evaluate student progress and provide regular reports to parents and classroom teachers
- Counsel parents on managing their child's problem and report periodically on progress
- Coordinate programming and scheduling of special classes for speech, hearing, and language handicapped children
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Appropriate California Speech and Language Pathologist Services Credential Required (completion of Clinical Fellowship or CF can be accomplished with this position)
- Licensed to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of California
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
