About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at LifePoint Health. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
  • Pass instruments to the physician during surgery and continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies.
  • Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
  • Perform on-call services as requested and communicate with senior surgical technicians of any changes.
  • Actively participate in and ensure room turn overs are efficient and timely.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Certified Surgical Technology Program
  • Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Required Skills Certifications: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP)
  • Minimum Work Experience: 1 year related experience (preferred)
