Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and organized Activities Assistant to join our team. This is an hourly paid position, offering a competitive salary of $18-20 per hour based on experience.

Job Description

The successful candidate will assist the Activities & Entertainment Director in executing the residents' activity program, lead group activities, and visit residents to complete their Activity Profile.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director in decorating the building for all parties, holidays, and special events.
  • Follow the daily activities schedule and carry out the assigned planned activities and events.
  • Maintain an ongoing inventory of departmental supplies and equipment.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in activity areas and supply closets.
  • Be aware of conditions that may interfere with the safety and well-being of residents while in activities.
  • Assist the Director by interviewing residents based on their activities profile and input the information into the CRM.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: Experience in recreation settings is preferred.
  • Party Planning: Experience in party planning and carrying out social and recreational programs.
  • Creativity: Be creative and have appropriate input in creating new activities for the program.
  • Performance Experience: Performance experience is preferred, such as singing or dancing.
  • Education: A high school degree or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish is preferred.
  • Basic Knowledge: Basic knowledge of a variety of activities and exhibit the ability to give instructions to others.
