Insurance Agent Opportunity at Richmond American Homes

We are seeking a professional and experienced Insurance Agent to join our team at Richmond American Homes. This role encompasses sales, communication, and administrative skills to sell and process insurance business primarily for customers of our companies.

This is a unique opportunity to develop new relationships by demonstrating our value as an independent agent and close the new home buyers' Home and Auto business. You will work with appointed insurance carriers to determine the best product offerings and pricing fit for each new opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Connect with potential clients via phone and email using our leads to sell insurance products.
  • Create insurance proposals for prospective clients and present coverage options.
  • Closing new home and auto policies for our homebuyers.

Additional Job Functions:

  • Rounding out all accounts, including Auto, Umbrella, Life, and other insurance products.
  • Processing all business sold in a timely manner, including completing documentation requirements and issuing business with appointed carriers.
  • Focusing on obtaining ongoing insurance education, knowledge, and experience, and maintaining required licenses.

Requirements:

  • College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Minimum two years of insurance sales experience or other professional services sales experience deemed appropriate.
  • Experience working in a professional business environment is mandatory.

Compensation:

  • Estimated Annual Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 (base salary of $33,000-38,000 plus commission).
