Strategic Academic Leader for Graduate Education Programs

Cairn University is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead its graduate education programs, driving academic excellence and innovation in education.
About the Position
The Chair of Education Graduate Programs will provide strategic leadership, administrative oversight, and support for Cairn University's Master's in Education and Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) programs. This key role requires a dynamic leader who can foster a robust learning environment, uphold the University's mission, and drive the successful development and execution of the Ed.D. program.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic leadership, administrative oversight, and support for the Master's in Education and Ed.D. programs.
- Collaborate with admissions staff to train them on graduate education programs, ensuring effective recruitment and enrollment.
- Develop and launch the Ed.D. program, aligning with the University's mission and goals.
- Assist the School Dean in curriculum development, refinement, and assessment.
- Recruit and support effective program faculty, providing academic and professional training, guidance, and feedback.
- Collaborate with the School Dean to assign semester teaching responsibilities and develop graduate program budgets.
- Plan and lead department/program meetings, enhancing collegiality within the school.
- Develop recruitment and retention strategies for graduate education programs.
- Meet with part-time and adjunct faculty, providing training and support, and recommending ways to improve communication and practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
- PhD in Education or Ed.D. with 5+ years of teaching experience in higher education.
- Proven experience in online course development and delivery.
- Clear understanding of and agreement with Cairn University's mission.
- Strong team-building and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and oversee an annual budget.
- Proven organizational and administrative skills.
- Commitment to leading faculty and students in the development and cultivation of their biblical worldview.

Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year
