Language Access Services Supervisor Job Summary

Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled Language Access Services Supervisor to join our team. As a Language Access Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing language interpretation in rehab inpatient and outpatient settings. You will also observe interpreter standards of practice, supervise the Language Access Services team, and communicate program and/or process changes to Language Access providers, leadership, and staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide language interpretation in rehab inpatient and outpatient settings

Observe interpreter standards of practice, including maintaining professional boundaries, respecting patients' rights, and remaining neutral while supporting patient-provider relationships

Supervise the function of the Language Access Services team

Complete daily schedules

Communicate program and/or process changes to Language Access providers, leadership, and staff as needed

Work with appropriate AHC entities to meet the standards for the Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies related to interpretation services

Participate in the management of the Language Access Services budget

Track interpreter utilization and performance data to identify utilization trends and process improvement opportunities

Requirements:

Associate's degree or equivalent coursework in a healthcare-related field preferred

At least two years of experience as a healthcare interpreter

Professional interpreting certification, such as Certified Medical Interpreter, preferred

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or similar schedule, on-site at either Rehabilitation Hospital location.
