About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team onsite. As a W2 contractor through Soliant Education, you will impact students' lives in a collaborative educational environment.
Position Overview:
This full-time, onsite position offers stability and professional growth opportunities as a Special Education Teacher in our Vermont school district. You will create an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement IEPs: Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student with special needs.
- Differentiated Instruction: Provide instruction tailored to diverse learning styles, ensuring that each student has access to effective learning strategies.
- Inclusive Classroom Environment: Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic success and social growth.
- Assess and Adjust Instructional Strategies: Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet their evolving needs.
- Utilize Varied Teaching Methods: Leverage a range of teaching methods, materials, and technology to enhance learning and engage students.
- Maintain Accurate Student Records: Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, providing valuable insights into their academic journey.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree: Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
- Valid State Teaching Certification: Hold valid state teaching certification in Special Education, demonstrating expertise in this field.
- Understanding of Learning Disabilities: Have a deep understanding of learning disabilities and effective intervention strategies.
- Strong Communication Skills: Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and parents.
- Ability to Adapt: Demonstrate adaptability in teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
