Job Summary

Columbia Engineering and Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Surveyor to lead our surveying team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.

  • Responsible for the quality of survey products and ensuring consistency with company standards.
  • Assist with land surveying computations and provide input on project schedules and timelines.
  • Develops probable cost estimates for survey projects and provides input on pricing and estimating.
  • Uses computer-assisted design software to prepare documents and serves as a senior project surveyor on complex projects.
  • Provides input on project scoping and prepares or directs preparation of reports, specifications, plats, schedules, and studies.
  • Reviews and signs plans and easements as appropriate.
Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, mapping, or related field, minimum 7 years of experience in surveying or related field, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.
  • Registered Land Surveyor in Georgia, Alabama, or Florida or ability to obtain.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Carlson software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
