About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Acute Care Nurse to join our dynamic team at UW Health University Hospital's D6/5 unit. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with critically ill adult patients who require specialized care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in an acute progressive care setting
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient plans
  • Monitor and assess patient condition, intervening as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
Requirements
  • Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years
  • IMC experience required; ICU experience considered but must be willing to work with non-ICU patients
  • Transplant and trach experience required
  • WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state
  • BLS and ACLS – certified through American Heart Association ONLY
Working Conditions
  • 36 hours/week, Evening/Night shift (1900-0730), every other weekend
