About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Care Specialist to join our team at Legent Health, serving patients in Texas and Florida. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide exceptional care and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Job Summary

The Surgical Care Specialist will be responsible for providing direct and individualized nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery. This includes assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care needs, as well as participating in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient care needs and develop individualized plans to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including administering medications, applying dressings, and monitoring vital signs
  • Ensure proper handling of specimens and maintain accurate records of patient care
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
  • Float among various clinical services to meet staffing needs and provide high-quality care
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and holds a current Registered Nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board
  • Current and active CPR certification
  • Minimum of three (3) years OR experience
  • Cognitive skills as related to the position

Benefits
