Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Atria Physician Practice New York PC is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team in Internal Medicine. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our members, working closely with our renowned physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to identify patients' health status and needs.
- Treatment and Management: Provide primary and specialty care services, including prescribing medications, ordering, and interpreting diagnostic tests, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
- Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: Educate patients and families about health promotion strategies, disease prevention measures, and lifestyle modifications to improve overall health and well-being.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care effectively, consulting with specialists and referring patients to appropriate healthcare providers as needed.
- Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights, preferences, and interests, ensuring they receive safe, effective, and culturally competent care.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Continuing Education and Professional Development: Engage in lifelong learning activities to stay current with evidence-based practices and healthcare trends.
Requirements:
- Current NYS License required as NP for specialty, or current NYS Licensed PA
- 2+ years' experience as a practicing NP (BC) or PA-C
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Available for variable weekend on-call assignments
- Thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Internal Medicine and Family Medicine (Preferred)
