Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. The successful candidate will play a critical role in implementing Medical Center-wide risk management and loss-prevention programs, promoting patient safety, and reducing risk.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough investigations of adverse patient events/outcomes and make recommendations for programmatic changes.
- Develop and implement educational plans to enhance patient safety and risk reduction.
- Provide consultation on patient safety and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff across the organization to coordinate multiple assignments and projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Business, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
- Strong data analysis experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and interact with faculty and staff of all disciplines.
- Preferred qualifications include minimum three years of experience in an acute care hospital and minimum five years of experience in the field of healthcare risk management.
