CompensationThe estimated annual salary for this position is between $87,713.60 and $117,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Contract Negotiation Specialist to join our Payor Relations & Contracting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for negotiating contracts with third-party payors, managing contract terms, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will work closely with departmental and facility subject matter experts to develop and implement contract strategies that meet the needs of our hospital and patients. You will also maintain relationships with contract negotiators at third-party payors and coordinate implementation activities.
You will be responsible for preparing correspondence to third-party payors, disputing underpayments or denials, and negotiating single-case agreements with non-contracted Medicaid, Medicaid HMO, and commercial plans.
Additionally, you will collaborate with Revenue Cycle Compliance to evaluate the effectiveness of our contract management process and ensure all new or renegotiated contracts are loaded into our contract management information system in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline
