Salary

$139,395 - $191,900 per year

Job Description

As a lateral attorney at the CIA, you will provide legal advice and policy counsel to CIA leadership on complex areas of law affecting the agency's duties and responsibilities under authorities including the National Security Act, the CIA Act, and Executive Orders. You will conduct legal research and analysis on sensitive matters, provide training on laws and policies affecting CIA personnel, and engage with other Intelligence Community elements, federal agencies, and congressional committees.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, active membership of the bar in any US jurisdiction, and demonstrated experience of at least three years in one or more of the OGC's practice areas. Key competencies include legal analysis, reasoning, and writing, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as a team member, and sound judgment in challenging situations.
