Delivery Trainee

This is a trainee position designed to lead to employment opportunities as a Delivery Representative.

The Trainee Driver's primary duties include learning and following the Company programs and policies that will result in the safe execution of timely delivery, maximized sales and minimized returns.

The Trainee Driver will observe, and then practice, the daily Pre-Trip Inspection of the vehicle to which he is assigned, and he will learn to identify what tools and equipment are needed for that day's deliveries and make sure they are available on the truck.

The Trainee Driver must maintain a driving record that is acceptable to the company and possess personal automobile insurance.

The Trainee Driver will learn and follow all DOT regulations and should pay special attention to learning the regulations that apply to driver time of service.

The Trainee Driver will learn and follow the Delivery Structure and Processes and will learn how to identify and fulfill spot sales opportunities.

The Trainee Driver will learn how to read and use the product coding for product freshness and will assist others on the Delivery team in moving product as necessary.

The Trainee Driver must become aware of the Company's image and understand the importance of maintaining a high level of neatness and cleanliness in each store's displays and coolers.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, starting at 5 a.m. and ending when all deliveries are completed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn and follow Company programs and policies
• Perform daily Pre-Trip Inspection of the vehicle
• Identify and fulfill spot sales opportunities
• Learn and follow all DOT regulations
• Maintain a driving record that is acceptable to the company

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Acceptable driving record
• Class-A CDL Permit (strongly preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs
