Job Title: Physician Assistant - Behavioral Health

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network. As a Physician Assistant - Behavioral Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with complex behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, provide direct clinical care, and coordinate medical services to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
  • Coordinate Care: Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring seamless care transitions and coordination.
  • Supervise and Educate: Supervise and educate clinical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Maintain knowledge of current medical research, trends, and best practices in behavioral health, ensuring you remain current and effective in your role.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree and completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program
  • Experience: Two years of professional clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare or mental health setting
  • Licensure: Licensure as a Physician Assistant and continuing certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants
