Electrical Engineer for Robotics and Autonomous Systems

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at Darkhive, a startup focused on making robotics accessible to the public safety and defense community through small drones.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical commercial hardware engineering and/or sustaining engineering, with experience in test equipment, debugging electromechanical systems, and generating Technical Data Packages for manufacturing.

In this role, you will work on designing and refining technology inside disposable sUAS platforms, collaborating across a range of products to meet requirements and production needs. You will also conduct research, prototyping, testing, and validation to ensure our products are of quality while maintaining a competitive price point.

The successful candidate will have experience with rapid product development cycles (3-6 months) and medium-to-high quantities manufacturing (consumer electronics experience is a plus). They will also be comfortable with design changes or reviews to products, creating documentation such as ECOs and other process documentation.

**Job Requirements:**

  • B.S. of Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Masters Preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years minimum of experience in electrical commercial hardware engineering and/or sustaining engineering
  • Experience with test equipment - multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.
  • Experience debugging electromechanical systems
  • Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer or other EDA tools
  • Experience generating Technical Data Packages for manufacturing
  • Experience with layouts for single board computers using system-on-modules
  • Experience with power supply circuitry, motor control, and digital circuit design
  • Experience with PCIE, MIPI
  • Knowledge of common interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART, and USB

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year (dependent on location and experience)
