Head of Market Strategy and Business Development

At CarbonQuest, Inc., we are looking for a seasoned professional to lead our market strategy and business development efforts. As Head of Market Strategy and Business Development, you will play a critical role in driving our commercial success.
We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, equity position in the company, and an unlimited vacation policy. The ideal candidate will be based on the East Coast (near NYC or DC) or on the West Coast (WA), but other options will be considered.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Enabling the commercial team's success with data-driven market analysis and forecasting, including research, analysis, modeling for new market segments and opportunities.
- Developing compelling strategy slides to be shared with commercial and executive teams.
- Creating visuals, charts, graphs based on data that tell a story of different market segments and opportunities for distributed carbon capture.
You will work closely with the sales team to inform their decision-making process and collaborate with product managers to adapt market strategies to go-to-market approaches.

We seek a candidate with 7+ years of relevant market analysis experience in industrial corporate settings, preferably with carbon capture or hardware-focused decarbonization technologies. Key qualifications include:
- Strong cost-benefit analysis understanding and ability to present such analysis in compelling, data-driven ways.
- Ability to research information quickly and effectively, then translate findings into recommendations backed up by compelling data and analysis.
- Creative approach to problem-solving and ability to handle multiple projects at once.
- Track record in delivering market analysis and recommendations in industrial settings.
Estimated salary: $180,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience.
