The RN Residency program at Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center is designed to support the growth and development of our new graduate nurses. The program offers a flexible and supportive environment, allowing nurses to build a culture of sharing and development.
Our nursing team is dedicated to providing high-quality care that meets the unique needs of each patient. We strive to create a positive and supportive work environment that fosters teamwork, employee engagement, and growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care that is centered on the individual needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
- Document patient care according to standards of care and guidelines.
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities.
Education and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited nursing program and be licensed as an RN in the state of practice. Additionally, you will need to have 6 or less months of RN experience.
Certification/Licensure
You will need to be licensed as an RN in the state of practice and have approved CPR certification within 90 days. Other certifications may be required depending on the unit.
Special Physical Demands
The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
