Job Title: Protection and Control Relay Engineer

At Arcadis, we are seeking a highly motivated Protection and Control Relay Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing protection and control systems for medium and high voltage substations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review efficient and reliable electrical design packages for medium and high voltage substations.
  • Perform design studies and demonstrate a good working knowledge of relay protections involving logic diagrams, calculations reports, relay and coordination studies, power system calculations, including short circuit calculation, and ratio selection.
  • Assist project managers to develop scope of work and conceptual design for projects.
  • Coordinate design activities to maintain project schedules, budget, quality requirements to ensure successful project completion.
  • Maintain complete project documentation with respect to relay settings, engineering studies and calculations, all design packages, as-built requirements and return data information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience focused on the development of protection philosophies, and relay settings development.
  • Experience in relay setting calculations and coordination of Intelligent Electronic Devices and Numerical Relays.
  • Experience with CAPE or equivalent software program (AcSELerator, ASPEN).
