Job Overview

The New Mexico Museum of Art is seeking a highly motivated Education Program Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of state-wide outreach efforts. This position will work closely with museum staff, educators, and community partners to create engaging educational programs that promote lifelong learning opportunities throughout New Mexico.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement state-wide outreach programs for diverse audiences, utilizing in-person and digital platforms.
  • Create exhibition-specific resources for outreach and on-site use, including written materials, virtual tours, and online content.
  • Manage daily operations of online educational resources and assist in promoting education and exhibition programming.
  • Collaborate with museums, organizations, and government agencies to design and implement community-engaging programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with two years of experience in teaching, lesson planning, and curriculum design.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, website management, and social media platforms.
  • A demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and deliver educational content in various formats.
Working Conditions

This is an office-based position with occasional travel within the state required. The ideal candidate must possess a valid New Mexico driver's license and be willing to lift computer hardware as needed.
