Job Title: Preadmissions Testing Nurse-PAT RN

We are seeking a skilled Preadmissions Testing Nurse-PAT RN to join our team at Physicians Surgical Network Affiliates. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pre-admissions process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate pre-admission testing for patients requiring surgical procedures
  • Manage patient admission processes to the preoperative department in our hospitals and/or surgical centers
  • Coordinate pre-surgery testing for outpatient surgery and same-day surgery
  • Assess patient health status in pre-op and ensure accuracy of identification wristbands
  • Ensure operative and informed consents are in order
  • Determine surgeon and procedure being carried out
  • Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure
  • Initiate IVs and ensure patients are informed about the procedure and attending medical staff
  • Exhibit Company Standards of Excellence and exercise strict confidentiality
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in surgery or has completed specialty class for the clinical nurse or as a PACU RN
  • Current Texas Nursing License
  • Current and active CPR certification
