Human Resources Clerk Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Clerk to join our team at National Beef Packing Co., LLC. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide administrative support and ensure the smooth operation of our human resources functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical support to the HR department, including general administrative tasks, receptionist duties, and project-based work.
  • Create and maintain employee files, including updating our AS400 and filing system.
  • Assist in posting recruiting ads and translating/interpreting for non-English speaking employees.
  • Support new hires with orientation, creating binders, processing forms, and emailing welcome announcements.
  • Provide clerical support for the department, including updating forms, copying, filing, mail distribution, meeting scheduling, and ordering supplies.
  • Assist with interview and physical processes, including scheduling, paperwork, and orientation.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, memorandums, spreadsheets, and databases.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible clerical work, with previous experience in an HR department preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
  • Bilingual skills preferred (English, French/Swahili, Creole).
