Job Summary

Operate and monitor washing, drying, and dry cleaning machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. Identify stained or damaged items and determine their status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard. Inspect the cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place them in clean linen carts. Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on the fabrics contained in the load. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load. Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes, either by hand or using a folding machine. Maintain accurate records of items laundered.

Requirements
  • No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • No license or certification required

The pay range for this position is $19.25 to $19.75 per hour and offers health care benefits, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, earned paid time off and/or sick leave, life insurance, disability coverage, and other life and work wellness benefits.
