Exciting History Educator Position

We are seeking an experienced and passionate presenter to join our team as a History Educator at California Weekly Explorer. This is a unique chance to bring learning to life for students across California elementary schools.
About the Role:
- As a History Educator, you will be responsible for delivering engaging presentations that make history fun and interactive for students.
- You will work independently, presenting up to two 2.5-hour shows per day, with minimal equipment to set up and tear down each day.
- The role requires strong classroom management skills, the ability to command a room, and a willingness to adapt to changing environments daily.
- Traveling to various schools in your calendar area is a significant part of this position, often involving early wake-up calls and long drives.
- You will also attend regular staff meetings and participate in occasional travel outside your designated area.
- A reliable standard-size vehicle that can accommodate all required equipment is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Present engaging, interactive history lessons to students in grades K-6.
- Utilize company-provided materials and scripts to deliver dynamic presentations.
- Maintain accurate records of expenses, mileage, and evaluations of schools visited.
- Collaborate with office and management teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, History, or related field preferred but not required.
- Strong teaching and presentation skills, with the ability to think on feet and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- A valid driver's license and a safe, secure living environment for storing equipment are essential.
- Prior experience in education, performance, or a related field is highly desirable.
