Laredo Medical Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse to join its Skilled Nursing unit. Located in Laredo, Texas, the hospital offers a unique opportunity to work with geriatric patients and provide rehabilitation services for various post-acute needs.

Job Description

The successful candidate will administer nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, participate in patient care implementation and evaluation, and ensure patient health, comfort, and safety. This role requires experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, working under general supervision with a degree of creativity and latitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering nursing care to patients
  • Participating in patient care implementation and evaluation
  • Ensuring patient health, comfort, and safety

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • One year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care setting (preferred)
  • LPN/LVN license from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners
  • BLS within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification (or obtained within six months of employment)
