Job Overview

Parker Wellbore is a leading provider of drilling and production services to the energy industry. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Rig Hand to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with crane operations, manual handling of tubulars and tools, and maintaining the circulating, rotating, hoisting and well control systems. This includes:

  • Maintaining safety standards and enforcing company policies and procedures
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the rig crew
  • Assisting with pipe tripping operations and break out/make up connections
  • Performing general maintenance of drilling equipment
  • Inspecting and checking snub lines, jerk lines, shackles, and cable clamps

Essential Functions

  1. Visible leadership with a Total Ownership attitude, owning safety standards
  2. Enforce, clarify, and follow Company policies, standards, and procedures
  3. Promote operational excellence through procedural discipline
  4. Follow the client's daily drilling/lift plans
  5. Responsible for morale and order within crew
  6. Ensure Authorized to Operate (ATO) and Approved Competent Operator (ACO) are applied and followed
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Able to identify and understand functionality of various rig equipment
  • Able to identify and understand functionality of various tubular sizes and thread types
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in basic rigger's role to ensure safe lifting operations are performed
  • Knowledgeable of mechanical systems and skilled at working with hand and power tools
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
