Community Sales Representative Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Leasing Consultant to join our team as a Community Sales Representative. As the community's sales representative, you will interact with residents and prospective residents to provide excellent customer service, assist with leasing processes, and promote resident retention.

This role requires a strong understanding of residential property management, including affordable housing programs, such as LIHTC, HUD programs, and USDA-Rural Development. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be proficient in using computer software, and possess a valid driver's license.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide exceptional customer service to residents and prospective residents, responding promptly to their inquiries and concerns.
  2. Assist with leasing processes, including viewing apartments, processing rental applications, and securing lease agreements.
  3. Promote resident retention by fostering positive relationships with residents and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including resident files, maintenance requests, and inventory control.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to achieve community goals, such as occupancy levels and rent collections.
  6. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in residential property management, preferably in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HUD programs, and USDA-Rural Development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and current motor vehicle insurance that meets State requirements.
