Job Description & Requirements

We are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) with 1 year of experience to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.

The NMT will be responsible for preparing radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images.

  • Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
  • Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
  • Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
  • Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
  • Provide assistance to patients during procedures
  • Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • BLS certification
