Veterinary Technician Supervisor

VCA Lecanto Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced and skilled Veterinary Technician Supervisor to oversee clinic operations and lead our team of Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants.

Key Responsibilities

1. Directing workflow on the floor
2. Cultivating an engaging work environment and maintaining our strong hospital culture
3. Working cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
4. Helping with the interview process for potential new hires and onboarding all new associates
5. Assisting in the educational development of technicians and their skills
6. Conducting staff meetings
7. Providing opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
8. Mentoring technicians within the department
9. Resolving conflicts in a professional and humble manner
10. Refining and implementing protocols
11. Ensuring that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT) with a preference for FL CVT
• 5+ years of clinical experience
• Team leadership experience
• Passion for Veterinary Medicine
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
