Job Title: Nursing Care Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretary to join our team at Bayhealth. This role involves delivering clinical nursing assistant services to patients, working under the supervision of a licensed nurse or therapist.

About the Position:

The Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretary position is a part-time opportunity with 32 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulating, transferring, feeding, observing, and reporting the general well-being of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows nursing assistant plan of care established by the Registered Nurse within a specified timeframe.
  • Performs duties with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the assigned units.
  • Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Communicate relevant patient information to a professional nurse within appropriate time based on level of urgency.
  • Answers intercom or call lights in a timely, courteous manner, with appropriate communication to patient and/or professional nurse.
  • Performs patient care based on established guidelines to diagnostic and therapeutic exams.
  • Assists other members of nursing team and/or ancillary departments as requested.
  • All other duties as assigned, within the scope and range of job responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. Completion of a formalized Nursing Assistant training program is required.
  • Credential(s): Basic Life Support BLS

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is between $16.49 and $23.37 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include competitive pay, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive work environment.
