Student Learning and Development Assistant

Salary:
The estimated hourly rate for this position is $12.50-$15.00 per hour, based on the typical 2.5 hours of work per day, 5 days a week, and an estimated 6 months of work per year. This results in an estimated annual salary of $6,750-$9,000.
Job Description:
We are seeking a student learning and development assistant to join our team at PeaceWorks Program, a school-based, work-based learning program that provides students with access to learning workforce skills. The selected candidate will work closely with school staff to assist with various tasks, including:
- Inventorying library, classroom books, and school uniforms
- Restocking the school supply closet and school uniform closet
- Inventorying, restocking, and caring for the Care Closet
- Restocking Care Carts in student bathrooms
- Washing rental uniforms
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must be actively enrolled PECHS students in good academic standing. A valid work permit will be required for students under the age of 16. Preferred skills and qualifications include:
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills when faced with challenges in order to problem solve and arrive at a solution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and peer students as an active member of a team
- Proficient in the use of digital technology (ex: basic computer skills)
- Capable of maintaining professionalism in various situations
- Strong work ethic and drive to successfully complete assigned tasks
