Salary Information
The salary package for this role is extremely competitive, with an attractive compensation rate based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week. The exact amount will be determined upon confirmation.
Job Description
We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). As a CVICU RN, you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions, including those recovering from open-heart surgery or severe heart attacks. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the highest standard of care for patients in a high-acuity setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions, monitoring vital signs and evaluating cardiac rhythm, hemodynamics, and other key indicators.
- Critical Care Management: Administer complex medications and treatments for cardiovascular patients, monitor invasive monitoring devices, and provide life-saving interventions in emergencies.
- Post-Operative Care: Provide intensive monitoring and care for patients post-cardiac surgery or catheter-based procedures, managing ventilator support, drainage, and pain management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on the recovery process, cardiac health, medications, lifestyle modifications, and long-term care needs.
