About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Tech-CT Support Full Time Days to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a Diagnostic Imaging Tech-CT Support Full Time Days, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and interact with patients of the radiology department, verifying patient identity using two patient identifiers.
  • Transport patients from inpatient units and the emergency department to and from the department, maintaining effective communication between patients and radiology department staff.
  • Prepare patients for exams, position and immobilize patients on examining tables, and assist radiologists and technologists in acquiring quality exams.
  • Assist with minor procedures, disconnect IV tubing used for contrast injection, and assist radiologists with interventional procedures.
  • Compile all radiology exams, prepare for reading by the radiologist, and attend to the care of documents relating to patients.
  • Perform various related tasks to support the effective operations of the radiology department, including preparing exam rooms, stocking and cleaning rooms after each exam, and maintaining Diagnostic Imaging changing areas.
  • Process requests from medical staff and internal departments for radiology films, ensuring exams have been entered correctly and are tracked in the computer.
  • Responsible for ensuring JCAHO & Safety standards are met, following all recommended Infection Control procedures.
