Job Description

Carpentry Skills

This role requires proficiency in carpentry skills, including reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and marking cutting lines on materials, shaping or cutting materials to specified measurements, and installing structures and fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the project
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using carpenter's hand and power tools
• Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines

Experience and Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in construction (preferred)
