As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures
  • Review patient information and prepare patients for exams
  • Use appropriate technique and shielding to minimize radiation exposure
  • Assess patient information and factors that may contraindicate exams
  • Utilize safety devices on equipment to ensure patient and technologist safety
  • Review patient charts and physician requests to determine optimal imaging parameters
  • Select appropriate images and protocols for each exam
  • Administer contrast agents according to established guidelines
  • Monitor patients during contrast injections for reactions and notify radiologists and emergency response teams as needed

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a certified/accredited ARRT program
  • Two years' experience as a CT technologist and certified
  • Registered technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • ARRT advanced certification in CT
  • BLS through American Heart Association
