Job Description

As a Security and Safety Systems Specialist at Egan Company, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing access control, security, and CCTV systems. You will work independently with limited supervision and adhere to safety standards. Your role will include programming security systems, assisting with equipment start-up and commissioning, training users on life safety equipment, and daily communication with project managers.

You will need to read and mark up prints, lead and direct teams, possess effective interpersonal and customer service skills, stand or sit for extended periods, lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work with heights.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in installing and programming fire alarm systems.
  • Valid MN Power Limited Technician license.
  • NICET Certification preferred (we can assist you in attaining this certification).
  • Knowledge of current codes when applicable.
  • Valid driver's license for travel between job sites.
  • 3-year Limited Energy JATC training or equivalent experience.
  • Current IBEW membership or willingness to join.
