Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team at AppleOne Ventura. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for creating and modifying prototypes, tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds using CAD generated models and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and repair custom machine mold tools using machining equipment and measuring instruments.
  • Operate lathes, grinders, milling, and vertical machining center to produce tools.
  • Independently perform a wide range of complex duties under minimal guidance from supervisor.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or its equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years' related experience as a Tool & Mold/Die Maker.
  • Proficient with Computer Aid Drafting (CAD) / Computer Aid Machining (CAM) software, including MasterCAM.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of press controls, dies, and tooling.
  • Strong math skills and ability to visualize and compute shapes and tolerances.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
  • Prior experience with hot runner and valve gate systems is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and write up a work plan.
  • Works well independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Must have own basic tools.
