Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maternity/Postpartum Specialist to join our team at Jersey City Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in computer software and a minimum of one year of current/recent experience in maternity/postpartum specialty or OB/GYN acute care. A completion of clinical experience in an NLN accredited school and active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement are also required.

Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive base salary range of $50.00 to $68.00 per hour, dependent on relevant experience, education, and skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
  • Assure safety in practice and maintain awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
  • Report identified safety issues, such as hazardous environments, and medical errors.
  • Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
  • Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
