Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is $35.00 per hour minimum starting pay, with opportunities for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance premiums, company-paid life insurance, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), 401(k) with 6% match and immediate vesting, paid vacation, sick and volunteer time, 12 paid holidays, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, training and development, and company social events.
Job DescriptionThis permanent, full-time Pipefitter will be responsible for welding and joining pipes and related components, installing, aligning, and securing pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools, welding equipment, and specialized tools according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
The ideal candidate will have 6G welding certification, ability to interpret and execute drawings and blueprints, use mathematics to lay out angles, arcs, and circles, and possess skills in accepted trade methods and techniques, such as figuring pipe joint, take outs, aligning pipes, valves, fittings, and joints for accurate match and installing proper braces and supports to control movement and vibration and allow for expansion and contraction.
Responsibilities include testing systems and equipment after completing work for proper circulation, flow, pressure, and leak-free joints.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 6G welding certification
- Ability to interpret and execute drawings and blueprints
- Use of mathematics to lay out angles, arcs, and circles
- Skill in accepted trade methods and techniques, such as figuring pipe joint, take outs, aligning pipes, valves, fittings, and joints for accurate match and installing proper braces and supports to control movement and vibration and allow for expansion and contraction
