Job Summary

">

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Veterinarian Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our hospital, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our veterinary team, and contributing to the growth of our practice.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Provide high-quality medical care to our patients, including routine and complex surgeries, dental procedures, and preventive care.">
  • Work collaboratively with our veterinary team, including hospital medical leaders, area medical directors, and paraprofessionals, to ensure seamless patient care.">
  • Communicate effectively with clients, veterinary specialists, and product/service providers to ensure continuity of patient care.">
  • Participate in rounds as incoming or exiting doctor at beginning and end of shifts.">
  • Disseminate knowledge throughout staff to improve the level of care and communication provided to patients and clients.">
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records according to practice convention.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.">
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.">
  • Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable, in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.">
  • Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries including but not limited to: canine and feline spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals.">
  • Telephone and computer skills.">
  • Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments, offer creative ideas, and accept change.">

Salary Range

">

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
