Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced International Export Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for coordinating and managing the export process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Preparation: Prepare bills of lading, export declarations, certificates of origin, and related documents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Control: Maintain quality results by adhering to export standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • Carrier Coordination: Merge carriers' flight schedules into customers' product delivery activities.
  • Freight Management: Generate freight transfer and support with appropriate documentation.
  • Documentation Verification: Originate documentation with shippers' Letter of Instruction (SLI) and/or Letter of Credit for accuracy of shipper/consignee marks and numbers, calculations of weight, volume, dimensions, inland cartage, and freight charges/goods description/clauses and delivery terms.
  • Communication: Communicate closely with customers and carriers on the status of shipment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with field sales staff to respond promptly to customers' needs.
  • Verification: Supply sufficient documentation to accurately verify all airline/trucking invoices before payment approval.
  • Tariff Management: Effectively apply up-to-date records on tariff/contract rates provided by available carriers – airlines, oceanic, inland/interstate trucking, etc.
  • Warehouse Support: Work closely with warehouse personnel in performing combined duties.
  • Problem Resolution: Suggest and implement corrective action in case of issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • Education: Some college or AA degree from an accredited college.
  • Experience: One to two years' experience in Air Export processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of carrier contracts and tariffs and federal and state government carrier regulations.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, dependable, persistence, time management, independent, documentation skills, scheduling and reporting skills.
  • Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to suggest and implement corrective actions in case of issues that may arise.
Salary Range:

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
