About the Role:
A Millwright Apprentice is an entry-level position in maintenance that will perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot problems and make repairs throughout the manufacturing plant. This role is ideal for individuals with a demonstrated aptitude for mechanical and/or maintenance work, who are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot problems and make repairs as needed
• Install and repair damaged machinery
• Align gears and motors
• Install and replace belts
• Read blueprints and technical drawings
• Lubricate equipment and perform other duties related to maintenance and facilities as assigned
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent GED required
• Demonstrated aptitude for mechanical and/or maintenance work
• Mechanical trouble-shooting experience preferred
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and procedures
• Possess good communication skills at all levels within the organization
• Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and supervisors in a positive manner
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Solid job history including more than 1 year at previous or recent employer
