DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan is a leading hospital specializing in rehabilitation medicine and research, renowned for its expertise in spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, amputee, orthopedics, and catastrophic care. Our institution is home to the Center for Spinal Cord Injury Recovery and the Southeastern Michigan Traumatic Brain Injury System (SEMTBIS), one of only 16 federally designated model systems of care for brain injury care and research. Additionally, we operate 31 outpatient sites throughout southeast Michigan focusing on sports medicine and orthopedics.
Job SummaryThe Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role as a member of the Patient Care Services Team, responsible for the satisfactory completion of nursing care by the nursing team. As an RN at DMC, you will manage and provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members, including ancillary and support services. This role encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching, and supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Delegate, assess, provide, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide and delegate patient care activities to team members.
- Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge.
- Report directly to senior unit management and participate in shared decision-making activities.
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Graduation from a school of nursing required.
- BSN preferred.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
This part-time night position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
