Psychologist Autism Specialist

At Autism Behavioral Institute, we are seeking a licensed psychologist to join our team as an Autism Specialist. This is a full-time/part-time opportunity that requires a strong passion for working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Licensed Psychologist/Licensed Psychological Associate to conduct diagnostic evaluations for children with ASD and provide supervision, consultation, and support for our NC Research-Based Behavioral Health Treatment program.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments, analyze data, and write evaluation reports
- Diagnose and provide treatment recommendations for children with ASD
- Provide post-evaluation feedback to clients and families
- Coordinate with clinical and intake/admission personnel to ensure timely access to care
- Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) on client treatment planning and outcomes
- Provide training, supervision, and support for BCBAs or other direct therapy staff
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology
- Current NC licensure as a Licensed Psychologist/Licensed Psychological Associate
- A strong working knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis and treatment of neuro-developmental disorders, including ASD
- Prior experience in completing evaluations for children with ASD, intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD), and other neurodevelopmental disorders
- Training in and competence with tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, DISCO, CARS, or other evidence-based tools
- Excellent communication and clinical writing skills
- Solid organizational and time management skills
This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
