Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically sound Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Penn State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical leadership, system design, and implementation of complex cloud-based system architectures for national critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud-based system architectures
  • Design and implement complex cloud-based systems for national critical systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud solutions architecture
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud solutions architecture
  • Experience with cloud security, compliance, and governance
  • Knowledge of cloud-native platforms, such as Kubernetes and Docker
