Main Responsibilities:

  • Investigate cybersecurity breaches and lead the incident response process, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Serve as our subject matter expert for our SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platform(s), guiding others on its administration and usage.
  • Daily review of SIEM alerts, completing any necessary actions resulting from the review and maintaining the highest level of security vigilance.
  • Administer and analyze vulnerability scans (onboarding and quarterly) and present them to clients with actionable recommendations to strengthen their security posture.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities identified in all facets of an organization (workstations, servers, switches, firewall, etc.), taking a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Function as an AV/EDR (Antivirus/Endpoint Detection and Response) and Cisco Umbrella escalation point for Cybersecurity Analysts, providing timely support and guidance.
  • Institute firewall changes and/or request change approval, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Stay up to date on cybersecurity technology, trends, and standards, applying this knowledge to continuously enhance our security practices.
  • Develop knowledge articles and standard operating procedures, sharing expertise with colleagues and contributing to the growth of our team's capabilities.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years in a cybersecurity-related position, bringing valuable experience to this role.
  • Excellent knowledge of firewalls, routers, and switches, with a deep understanding of network security fundamentals.
  • At least 2+ years administering SIEM platforms, having developed strong skills in security information management.
  • Proficiency in running and interpreting vulnerability scans, with a proven ability to identify and prioritize security risks.
  • A proven track record leading Incident Response processes relating to cybersecurity incidents, demonstrating expertise in crisis management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A deep desire to drive forward the security posture of the partners we support, aligning your passion with our mission.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to work Monday-Friday 11 AM until 8 PM Central Time, and participate in a rotating, on-call schedule.

  • CES Score: > 525, reflecting a high level of security effectiveness.
  • Utilization: 70%, indicating efficient use of resources and services.
  • SLA: > 85%, demonstrating a commitment to meeting client expectations.

Earning Potential: Based on industry standards and national averages, the estimated salary range for this position is $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
