Job Title: Senior Systems Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Architect to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a Senior Systems Architect, you will be responsible for designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systems, directing and managing enterprise IT system development/engineering efforts, and planning tasks for the design of cross-domain solutions that support requirements of varying complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems
  • Direct and manage enterprise IT system development/engineering efforts
  • Plan tasks for the design of cross-domain solutions that support requirements of varying complexity
  • Collaborate with business users to triage requirements and perform current state system analysis
  • Establish integrated project team structure and assignments
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • 15+ years of experience in systems engineering, architecture, or a related field
  • Documented experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible
  • Demonstrated experience automating infrastructure build-out using Amazon Web Services (AWS), such as Auto Scaling, CloudFormation, and shell scripting
  • Demonstrated experience developing highly available systems on Cloud infrastructure utilizing Linux and advanced bash scripts
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and monitoring highly available, production web applications
  • Demonstrated experience working with PKI certificates and X509 protocols
  • Familiar with Serverless framework (Lambda)
  • Demonstrated experience using task tracking and version control technology such as GitHub or JIRA
  • Demonstrated experience integrating with Sponsor enterprise systems, such as Identity and Access Management, Auditing, Email, and hosted DevOps services
  • Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team
Desired Skills:
  • Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning capable of writing and deploying SQL and PL/SQL
  • Capable of managing Customer Security Assessment and Authorization process and writing technical security documentation
  • Python development experience
  • Knowledge of visualization tools like (Tableau, Cognos and PowerBI)
  • AWS Developer or DevOps Certification
