Retail Supervisor Opportunity in Syracuse, NY

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Supervisor to join our team at Barnes & Noble College in Syracuse, NY. As a key member of our retail team, you will provide exceptional customer service, oversee daily store operations, and drive sales growth in our dynamic academic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Oversee daily store operations, including supervising team members and managing store inventory
- Drive sales growth through effective merchandising and visual displays
- Assist in the training and development of team members to ensure excellent customer service and sales skills
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including sales data and customer interactions
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience in a retail setting preferred
- Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for employment
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Outstanding customer service skills to match customers to products that meet their needs
- Basic reading, writing, and accounting skills required
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation and Benefits:
- Estimated salary range: $17.00/hour based on experience and qualifications
- Daily Pay earned wage access available to all store employees
- Paid sick time accrued based on time worked
- Eligibility to participate in a 401(k) plan after completion of 1000 hours worked in a 12-month period
