Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Stanford Health Care. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing pharmaceutical services and supporting our pharmacists in delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter patient medication orders into the pharmacy computer system and operate automated compounding and dispensing machines under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Maintain medication inventory and place and receive stock replacement orders.
  • Prepare, compound, and label intravenous admixtures, cancer chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition patient-specific doses using strict aseptic technique.
  • Prepare, package, compound, and label non-sterile drug products for specific patients with appropriate final pharmacist checks.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Six (6) months of progressively responsible and directly related work experience, or Pharmacy Technician Externship performed at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, Department of Pharmacy.

  • Ability to work with devices, information systems, automated, and technical equipment utilized in pharmacy.
